Welcome to Idelog. By using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
Idelog is a tool for personal idea tracking. You are responsible for the content you create and store within the app. You agree not to use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
The ideas you record in Idelog remain your own. However, the app's interface, design, and code are the property of MaxeSoft.
The app is provided "as is" without any warranties. Your ideas live on your device and nowhere else, so we cannot recover them for you if the device is lost, reset or damaged. We recommend regular manual backups: Settings → Export ideas writes everything you have saved into a single text file that you can keep wherever you choose.
MaxeSoft shall not be liable for any loss of data or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the app.

At Idelo, we prioritize your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Local Storage: All ideas and text notes are stored locally on your device using a secure database. We do not upload your ideas to our servers.
Voice Data: When you use the microphone feature, the app records audio to a file on your device and converts it to text using a speech recognition model that runs on your device. The recording is deleted as soon as it has been transcribed, unless you turn on “Keep recordings” in Settings. If you do, the recording stays on your device, attached to the idea it produced, until you delete that idea or clear the recordings from Settings; it is excluded from device backups and is never uploaded anywhere. Either way, we never receive or store your audio.
Transcription runs entirely on your device, using a local Whisper model. Your audio never leaves it, and no internet connection is required to transcribe.
Earlier versions of the app offered an optional OpenAI Whisper API engine. It has been removed and is no longer supported. If you entered an OpenAI API key in an earlier version, it remains stored only on your device; the app no longer uses it and never sends it anywhere.
Sharing and export: the app can hand one idea, or all of your ideas as a single text file, to your device's share sheet — from the idea itself, or from Settings → Export ideas. Nothing is sent anywhere until you ask for it, and where the text goes afterwards is your choice: the app has no part in it and no record of it. An exported file contains the text of your ideas and the dates they were saved; it does not contain voice recordings. We never receive any of it.
Since data is stored locally, the security of your ideas depends on the security of your mobile device.
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to outside parties, and we do not use third-party analytics that track your personal identity.
The one exception is the one you choose yourself, action by action:
Nothing else leaves your device, none of it passes through us, and nothing is sent anywhere at all unless you share or export.
Downloading a local Whisper model fetches the model file from Hugging Face. That request carries no information about you or your ideas.
While we do not collect any user data, we may update this privacy policy from time to time for other reasons, such as app updates. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
You have full control over your data. You can delete individual ideas or clear the entire app database at any time by uninstalling the app or using the in-app delete features.
